Devin became the Lead Pastor of City Church in May 2015. Before moving to Alabama in 2011, Devin led churches in North Carolina, Kentucky, and Indiana. In 2006, Devin planted and led a church in Las Vegas that continues to make a gospel impact today. He also has experience in real estate, training, coaching and sales.
Devin has earned multiple academic degrees including a PhD in New Testament. He loves to teach the Scriptures in a way that is gospel-centered, Jesus-focused, authentic, and real to every day life.
Devin’s story is one of brokenness and redemption. He is a product of radical grace and forgiveness and counts it a privilege to point other broken people to the One who redeems and restores.
Devin is married to Ashley and has 4 kids: Kayleigh, Ragan, Zac, and Levi. He values his family and considers them his highest human priority. He also loves UNC Tarheels basketball, Dallas Cowboys football, and has even been known to pull for the Alabama Crimson Tide on occasion during college football season.

Director of Ministries
Ashley joined the City Church Team in May of 2015 and is passionate about people and sharing the gospel. Ashley oversees the development of our ministries on a day to day basis and provides leadership and direction to our team leaders and volunteers.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, she is a southern transplant and loves many things about living in the south including cooking, gardening, and using an occasional “y’all”. Married to Devin and proud to have his three kids, baby Levi, and a rambunctious dog named Toby involved in her life, she loves spending time with her family, loving on others and traveling whenever possible.
Ashley’s journey hasn’t always been perfect and God has used her story to shape her understanding of God’s grace and redemption in a powerful way. She is passionate about sharing her life story with others in hopes that people will know that we are broken people who can be redeemed by a perfect Savior. With her role at City Church, she hopes to encourage authenticity and grace as we seek to follow and grow more like Jesus.
